About Me

'Relationships are integral to being human.'
Rebecca Lowe

We need them, we thrive on them and we can suffer deeply from them. I’ve been fascinated with how we relate to each other and the human condition for almost 25 years. I’ve studied psychology, child development, couple and family relationships, communication, trauma, attachment, mindfulness and social work practices.

I’m now in private practice, after over a decade working for one of Australias’ leading national relationship organisations. During this time I undertook roles such as: Convenor for two national networks, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Project Worker, Relationship Education Coordinator, Child Consultant, Senior Couple and Family Therapist and acted at times in Manager and Director roles.

Flexible and experiential therapy available including Animal Inclusive and Walk and Talk Therapy

The Top End has been my home for over 35 years and I have lived and worked in Darwin for over 20 years. It has been and continues to be, a privilege to be invited into the depths of peoples’ lives. I have immensely valued journeying along with many who have grappled with family and domestic violence, family separation, mental health and with adult survivors of institutional child sexual abuse.

Whether to heal a broken heart, get support for depression or anxiety, work on being a mindful parent, talk through workplace conflict, consider options where there is violence, work through infidelity, increase communication and connection as a couple, heal from past abuse or try and find meaning and direction in your life; I aim to be compassionate, non-judgemental, reflective and assist you to increase your own understanding of yourself.

With increased self awareness, so too comes increased options for deeper relationships with everything around us; for healing, compassion, growth and truly living a meaningful life.
